There are plenty of queer bars and clubs in Austin to suite any taste, and most of them can be found in the East of the city. Close to the bustle of Downtown, this gaybourhood is full of energy and all sorts of different people looking for a party. Austin is well-known as a live music capital of the world, so expect loud and vibrant music clubs alongside the more traditional drinking spots. The vibe on a night out here will be unpretentious with plenty of drinks and simply a focus on good times.
Some of the best parties in the city take place on the iconic Miami Beach, where a huge local LGBTQ+ community welcomes queer visitors, and you can party with crowds of barely dressed people. That being said, if traditional pubs and clubs are more your thing, there are plenty of places in the city to hang out and relax. Centred in South Beach, you'll find everything from pool parties and classy cocktails to underground drag shows and a historic club scene.
DC boasts a great selection of LGBTQ+ bars and clubs that keep the party going all week. The queer community here is growing in its diversity, and that is reflected in the variety of nightlife and an ever-changing scene. Big gay nights out are popping up across the city as the community is welcomed into more traditional pubs and sports, but the safe spaces of the queer neighbourhoods like Dupont Circle are still there if you need them. Whether you want a simple gay friendly pub or a night out on DC’s infamous drag scene, you’ll find your crowd here.
The gay bars in Palm Springs are cool, modern, and open, reflecting the culture of the city as a whole. While most tourists here are focused on the sun and daytime fun, there's a thriving nightlife scene to enjoy as well if that's more your thing. In true Palm Springs spirit, there's a place for everyone, whether you're looking for a quick drink, a lively dance floor, a camp and sassy drag show, or even a holiday hook up. Gay venues can be found anywhere in the city, but most are concentrated in the unofficial LGBTQ+ area of Arenas Road.

Hotel Soho is one of the strongest lower-priced options around the Gayxample and openly embraces its location in Barcelona’s LGBTQ+ neighbourhood. It sits on Gran Via, close to Urgell metro and only a few minutes’ walk from the gay bars around Casanova, Diputació and Villarroel.
Rooms are contemporary, soundproofed and air-conditioned, with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and modern bathrooms. They’re relatively simple compared with some of the four-star hotels nearby, but the Soho has one feature you might not expect at this price level: a rooftop terrace with seasonal swimming pool, loungers and panoramic city views.
There’s also a substantial breakfast buffet, 24-hour reception, luggage storage and private parking.
Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia are around ten minutes away on foot, while the airport bus stops at nearby Plaça Universitat. For a three-star hotel, the combination of gay-scene location, rooftop pool and generally strong guest reviews makes Soho particularly good value.

Casual lesbian bar with a homely and intimate feel thanks to pool table, happy hours, and an outdoor patio. Ginger's is the lone lesbian bar left in Park Slope, and although crowds here often include straights and men, the focus remains on the ladies, who return for the dance parties on Fridays, Bingo on Sundays, karaoke on alternating Thursdays and one of the best happy hours in town.

Torremolinos
Lights Bar in Torremolinos is a lively queer hotspot in La Nogalera, famous for its huge terrace that’s perfect for sipping cocktails and people-watching. The atmosphere is upbeat, with a mix of pop and house music, plus regular drag shows and themed parties that keep the energy high. Drinks are well made, often with fun little extras like surprise shots, and the crowd is friendly and inclusive. Whether you’re out for a relaxed drink or a full-on party night, Lights Bar delivers.
Pennylane
Dublin
Owned by the same iconic drag queen as PantiBar, Pennylane offers a lightly more relaxed (but equally queer and fun) alternative to the other LGBTQ+ bars and clubs in the area. A stylish interior and chilled out vibe make Pennylane perfect for drinks with friends or a hangout after work. You can start your evening here if you're feeling sophisticated before heading across the road to PantiBar for a dance.
