SEXploration: a workshop for the Women's Programme

SEXploration: a workshop for the Women's Programme
How does reflecting on our expectations of relationships and sexuality help us access the pleasure we want? Storylines on TV, playground gossip, what our parents didn’t tell us, and porn. LGBT people are bombarded with conflicting messages about sex and relationships. This workshop uses group discussion and private reflection to develop your personal "sex narrative”. You’ll be encouraged to separate what you really want from what you’ve been told you should want. Reflect –on the reasons behind your views and feelings around sex, pleasure and intimacy Learn – work with critical thinking tools to consider how you want to develop your “sex narrative” going forwards Apply – use your awareness to inform the sex and intimacy you want to have This hour long workshop led by Aben (they/them) will be a great opportunity to discuss and reflect. N.B: Previously named 'Healthy Intimacy', this workshop was formerly held during Sugar and Spice 2021, and was so popular we've brought it back! The Women's Programme is for all women who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer or questioning, all or part of the time, including trans women, women of colour, older women, disabled/neurodivergent women, women who are seeking asylum or have no recourse to public funds, women of all faiths and backgrounds, and non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people who want to access a women-centred space.
