La Esquina - Rene's Bar

Men's Bar is in La Nogalaera in Torremolinos and attracts an older, hairy, beary crowd. Whilst quite cruisy, it has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly bar staff and strong drinks. Popular with locals as well as tourists, there is a large video wall showing pop and dance music from the 70's right up to date, often with a DJ at weekends. Downstairs is a sizable cruising area and darkroom.

The sister bar to the Hotel Ritual. Located in the heart of La Nogalera, Ritual Copas is a lively bar with good looking waiters and a good drinks menu. Tends to attract a younger crowd and can be one of the later bars to get busy, but look out for drag shows on some days. Opening hours vary by season.

Set right on the beachfront, by the gay beach club, El Gato Lounge is popular day and evening. Offering a selection of tasty food, it's a great spot for lunch, dinner or just a drink at any time. Super friendly waiters welcome you to the open seating area with views out across the beach to the sea. Set at the bottom of the steps that lead up to the town centre and the busy La Nogalera gay village.

One of the longest running gay nightclubs in Torremolinos, Parthenon is in the heart of La Nogalera and is popular with locals as well as visitors. Known for its good looking bar men with great service and a welcoming atmosphere, Parthenon is a favourite choice. Music is current and dancing encouraged, with occasional drag and cabaret shows too.

Occupying a prime position on Bajondillo beach, at the base of the steps down from the town centre, near El Gato Lounge and just along from the Melia Costa del Sol Hotel, the Eden Beach Club is a popular hot spot for gay sun worshipers in Torremolinos. Have a drink at the bar, or set yourself up on one of the many sun beds, which come at an extra charge, but you do get friendly waiter service. Great for people watching and can get very busy on hot, sunny days, especially on weekends and afternoons when the local crown joins the tourists. Hours can vary in low season, depending on the weather.

With one of the largest terraces in La Nogalera, you cannot miss Codigo when walking through the gay village. A mixed crowd come here before hitting the dance clubs a bit later on. You may also get to meet resident drag queen hostess, Hellon Heels.
